Everybody already knows about the swine flu pandemic from Mexic and the US which is spreading all over the world. The World Health Organization have declared it a state of emergency, and has raised the pandemic alert level to 5. It is clear now that we are facing with a big problem especially after the US announced the first death caused by the swine flu.
Also, the President of Mexico has partially shut down the whole economy and advised people to remain at home for at least five days. President Felipe Calderon announced that he will suspend almost every work in the country. Only essential work and services will still run. This will last from May 1 to 5.
“There is no safer place than your own home to avoid being infected with the flu virus,” said President Calderon.
So far there have been 176 deaths in Mexico. Hopefully, nobody else will die. If you are from Mexico, then you might be interested to know that transportation, hospitals, supermarkets, and trash collection will still be available no matter what. Let’s hope that the swine flu pandemic will no longer be a pandemic soon.
