The Taliban militants are growing in numbers, and in strength, and they could jeopardize U.S. interests therefore President Barack Obama will put pressure on Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari when they meet at the White House later today. It is said that Obama is concerned that the Taliban fighters have grown much in strength because the Pakistani are not involving too much.

Recently, the Talibans have managed to attack from their strongholds found at the Pakistani-Afghan border. Also, President Obama will speak with Afghan President Hamid Karzai in order to revise their war strategy – Obama wants the Afghan leader to better communicate with the Pakistani leader in order to cross out the Talibans. The US President said that he will send more troops in Afghanistan, and that his foreign policy is to meet separately with both Afghan and Pakistani leaders, and then he will meet both Zardari and Karzai together.

“The president is deeply concerned about the security situation. That’s why we’re sending additional troops to Afghanistan and that’s why we’ll talk with both the Afghans and the Pakistanis about our renewed commitment in helping them seek the aid that they need to address those extremists,” said Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary.

In today’s meeting with the Pakistani President, Barack Obama wants to be assured that the Pakistani atomic weapons are secure and that the Talibans will not their hands on them.
