US Central Command Chief, General David Petraeus, Faints During Senate Auditions

General David Petraeus, US Central Command chief, fainted during some auditions that were taking place, Tuesday, in the US Senate Armed Service Committee, say FoxNews. According to informations, the General was too dehydrated. He recovered well after the incident.

General Petraeus, who was attending the audition regarding the army’s capacity to respect President Barack Obamma’s orders about Afganistan retreat in July next year, was talking with Senator John McCain (Arizona), the moment he fell over the table. Many officials gathered around Petraeus, who stood up and left the room on his own feet.

The audition were interrupted for several minutes, for the officials present there and Petraeus consultants to determine weather the General can continue or not. The US Armed Service Committee president, democrat Carl Levin (Michigan), suggested that Petraeus was dehydrated, but he recovered fast.

“General Petraeus seemed to be well,” said senator Levin.
