Sonia Sotomayor
Last week David Souter announced that he wants to retire from the Supreme Court and everyone was surprised, as Souter is a 69 years old healthy man and also one of the youngest from the Supreme Court.
Now Obama has to choose another one to replace him and he will probably pick Sonia Sotomayor, a Hispanic woman judge.
Sotomayor has a clean past and an excellent record in legal terms and also Hispanic female activists supported Obama on his election campaign. Another reason we might think that is Barack Obama announced he wants another female judge and also there is no Hispanic in the Supreme Court.
Another option for Obama would be Diane Wood, who was a colleague at the University of Chicago with Barack Obama.
