Cornelius Dupree Jr. Set Free After The ADN Testing Concluded
Cornelius Dupree Jr. stayed behind bars from 1980 until July 2010, when he was moved to home arrest until the AND analysis were completed.
A curt from Texas established the verdict: the man is not guilty. The American was convicted at 75 years in prison for armed robbery and rape, things that he didn’t do. Now Dupree has 51 years and hopes to continue his life.
“I’m happy! I feel very different emotions. After 30 years it is pretty hard to come back. There are no words in the world to describe it. I’ve lost both my parents. The justice needs to get up in shape for these kind of things to not happen again. ” the man said.
With him the number of people declared innocent after AND testing has reached 40 in Texas. From all of those he stayed the longest period in prison.
