Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, together with his wife, Melinda, are preparing a charitable campaign which would revolutionize the philanthropic behavior of the Americans, writes CNN Money. The goal of the three – to determine the country’s billionaires, starting with the ones on the list Forbes just released, to begin giving at least half of their fortunes to the charitable organizations.
In the last four years, Buffet, the world’s third richest man, after Carlos Slim and Bill Gates, donated to the foundation of the Gates family not less than $6.4 billion. Together with the money donated by Bill and Melinda Gates, the foundation managed do offer, every year, about $3 billion, specially to the medical organizations.
With simple math, the fortune of the 400 billionaires included in Forbes’ top would raise at about $1.2 trillion. So if all of them follow the initiative of the three, about $600 billion would be raised for charitable organizations.

Buffet explained that the very rich people think at what the could do with their fortunes, but delay the decision, sometimes being too late.
The famous investor said that no rich man should wait until he gets old to write his will, as there is less chance that his power of thinking and wishes to be better than the current one.
The idea developed last year, at a meeting between billionaires, presided by David Rockerfeller at New York, at which Oprah and Michael Bloomber, New York’s Mayor and the 8th mots rich man in USA attended among others.
Melinda Gates, Bill’s wife, says that in the next 3-5 years the number of billionaires sharing their point of view should increase significantly.
