Serbia got her first win at the World Cup in South Africa, score 1-0, in front of a disappointing German team. Having only 10 players on the field after Klose saw the red card in 37th minute, Loew’s pupils even missed a spot kick leaving the battle open for the Group D qualifiers.
After a beautiful first match at the World Cup 2010, won 4-0 in front of Australia, Germany disappointed in the Game against Serbia. Loew’s guys were pleased to keep the ball in the first half, but without managing to dangerously attack the opposite goal. The only dangerous occasion of Germany in the first half was when Khedira hit the crossbar form 14 meters, Mertesacker gathered the lost ball, but his execution was saved from the line by the Serbian defense.
Germany begun the second half decide to level the score and the things seemed to turn well for them in the 61th minute. Vidic handled the ball in the area, but Podolski had a weak execution and Stojkocic managed to save the penalty shot. Searbia missed a lot of goal occasions until the end of the match, and the game finished 1-0 for Antic’s lads.
