Yesterday night, the Denver Nuggets managed to beat the Dallas Mavericks once again and they increased their lead to 2-0 in the best-of-seven series. Although Dirk Nowitzki scored 35 points for Mavericks, Carmelo Anthony and his team managed to overcome Dirk’s good form. The Nuggets won with a 117-105 score in a match which saw Anthony scoring 25 points, Nene 25, J.R. Smith 21, and Chauncey Billups 18.
The Denver Nuggets won their 15 straight game at the Pepsi Center, and the last time they lost here was on March 11. The next match between the two teams will be played in Dallas on Saturday night, and the Mavericks will hope to continue their good form at home as they are now on a 17-1 track since the All Star game. They lost to the Nuggets who lead with 6-0 this season.
“It’s kind of shocking we have three days off,” said Nuggets coach George Karl as he would have enjoyed to take momentum of his team’s form.
Well, the Nuggets are looking well, however, everything is looking bad for Mavericks as now they have to win 4 out of 5 games against the Denver team which is in top form due to their efficiency and confidence.
