Manchester United Accepts Real Madrid £80m Bid For Cristiano Ronaldo

When he was re-elected President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez promised fans to restore the so-called “Galactic Era” to the most renowned soccer club in the world. Earlier this week, Perez announced that Ricardo Kaka signed a six-year deal with Real Madrid after the club agreed a £56 million fee with the Brazilian’s former club, AC Milan. Well, today Manchester United officially announced that they accepted a £80m bid from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

In an official statement, Manchester United said that they have given Real Madrid the permission to talk with Cristiano Ronaldo, and to discuss the contract of the player. Man Utd said that the club can’t do anything as this is a large offer, and the player asked to leave. Now that Perez announced that we will do his utmost to sign Ronaldo in order to build the best team in the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo, 24, is the current winner of the Ballon d’Or and he is regarded as one of the best players in the world alongside Lionel Messi from Barcelona, and his future teammate Kaka. Man Utd said that the Ronaldo transfer saga will end before June 30 and the Portuguese will officially become a Real Madrid player on July 1.

If the rumored £80m fee is true then this will become the world record transfer fee. If you see the Top 3 transfer fees in the UK then second comes Kaka from AC Milan to Real Madrid for £56m, and third comes now-retired Zinedine Zidane from Juventus to Real Madrid for £45.6m in 2001. If you see the Top 3 transfer fees in Euro then Cristiano Ronaldo is first with €130 million €95 million, second Zidanewith €73m, and third Kaka with €67.2m as the power of the UK sterling decreased in the last few years.

In order to build another Galactic team, Florentino Perez is going after David Villa from Valencia, Xabi Alonso from Liverpool, and Franck Ribery from Bayern Munich.
