Everybody knows that Floyd Mayweather Jr announced that he will never box again after defeating Ricky Hatton in 2007. Pretty Boy Mayweather was undefeated in his entire career, but he is retired now.
“You will never see my arse in a boxing ring again,” said Floyd Mayweather after defeating Hatton in Las Vegas.
However, rumors say that Mayweather Jr is in the gym and he is training in order to re-think his retirement and to fight against Juan Manuel Marquez on July 18th. The undefeated boxer could fight against Marquez in the summer.
Ricky Hatton is a Manchester-based boxer and he announced many times that he wants to end his career by fighting Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez, however, he has to box against Manny Pacquiao in Manchester in December.
Floyd Mayweather came out as a winner in all of his 39 fights against boxers like Arturo Gatti, Oscar De La Hoya, Sharmba Mitchell, Jose Luis Castillo, and Zab Judah.
Probably the saddest part about Pretty Boy’s life is that things are not going well between his father and him. Floyd Mayweather Senior is the current trainer of Ricky Hatton.
“Me and my son have had a fall-out and I’m going to let it be that way,” said Floyd Mayweather. However, Senior said that “Little Floyd is back in the gym but I’m not concerned about when he is fighting. I’m training Ricky Hatton now.” This means that Junior is really in the gym, and a comeback is possible. Will he reconsider his retirement to fight Juan Manuel Marquez? Maybe, we will find out soon.
