
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer
Microsoft Corp CEO Steve Ballmer still believes that a Microsoft’s chances to buy Yahoo Inc are still valid, even though he avoided commenting on any talks the two are involved in.
Speculation can be made, as Ballmer went to Sanfrancisco Bay area and it is thought that he wants to meet his Yahoo counterpart Carol Bartz to further negotiate about a potential deal.
Speaking to students at Stanford University in Wednesday, the Microsoft CEO somewhat expressed his regrets about company’s failure to buy Yahoo, but he looked confident that such a deal can and will be made as the two will become one. Ballmer’s arguments about a tie-up between Microsoft and Yahoo involve attracting more customers and advertisers.
ComScore March reports gives us an ideea about what is happening on the Internet search engine market, with Google Inc being No.1 and holding nearly 64 percent of the market. Yahoo was the runner-up, and Microsoft came 3rd in the United States.
