One of the most intelligent sea creatures is the octopus. They have been studied for a long time by now but little is known about these wonderful and intelligent animal.
They can change their color at a blink of an eye from a live color that shows that you are in their territory to a more fade one when they try to hide from predators. And when the predators do manage to spot them another weapon comes into action: a black ink is released into the sea that allows the octopus to escape into the tiniest holes.
They are solitary animals swimming into the vast of the ocean. From time to time they manage to meat one another and so the specie survives. And it’s a once in a lifetime date because after the mating the female releases the egg and after a few weeks she dies.
The ability to learn quickly and adapt to various situations have made the scientist to proclaim them as one of the smartest animals in the ocean.
The tales of some big octopuses that have manage to sink entire ships and their crews still are frequent between the sailors. Even if this tales are more into the legend category big octopuses have been spotted in the Atlantic Ocean. Many marine biologists are doing intense research among them and hope that in the near feature will have the answers they search for.
In the meantime here is a short movie about these wonderful creatures.
