Most people who stay up to date via blogs and news subscriptions already know the story of Nikki Catsouras and the rest of the Catsouras family. Some three years ago, the tragic death of Nikki grieved her family, as well as friends and neighbours in Orange County, California.

Post-traumatic stress does not bother a dead person, but in this case the whole family is suffering from it. The reason? The Internet. Well, of course, not in itself, not as an invention and not even the regular sites you and I visit weekly, but by that part of the Internet where any sick individual can post and spread any piece of data. To be more specific, even if the Catsouras family (mother Lesli, father Christos, sister Christiana, sister Kira, and sister Danielle) have together enrolled in therapy so that they might eventually be able to come to terms with the situation, pictures from the police report have been spread over the Web.
In her childhood, Nikki was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour, and even if this was not of the worst kind, she still had to endure treatment that could affect her self-control, to name the relevant aspect. In 2005 she took cocaine, and was taken to the hospital. She then tried the drug again, probably due to her impulsion control problem, in 2006. Her parents were going to take her to a personality/brain disorder specialist, but than the accident happened.
Nikki took one of the family’s sport cars and drove off, before anyone could stop her. On that day, Nikky Catsouras died at the age of 18, after losing control of her father’s Porsche Carrera at high speed and colliding with a toll booth in Orange County, California.
I mentioned pictures earlier. It seems that policy pictures leaked, In the weeks that followed the accident, Christos Catsouras received an e-mail with horrid pictures of her daughters accident, and with text attached: “Whoohoo Daddy! Hey Daddy, I’m still alive.” Even on the internet – and even someone of the new generation, as blunt emotion-wise as we are – this is no joke. Needless to say, the pictures are all over the internet and have become a phenomenon. People just see this as a mistake of a spoiled rich kid who took cocaine. First of all this is debatable, even if the autopsy did find traces of the substance she did not take the drug on that day. Secondly, over and beyond what her reason might have been, she is gone now and her family has suffered enough – this what and whom one should think of.

It’s been 3 years since the accident, and they have not succeededto remove the pictures from the Internet, even with extensive efforts. As the only act they could muster, the Catsourases filled a lawsuit against the CHP for negligence, privacy invasion and infliction of emotional harm. It was linked to two officers that both lost their jobs, eventually.

I dont no how any one can send something like that to a family that just lost one of there own i dont blame the father wanting to kill them an could care less if he did i seen this story after reading about my friend who died in car wreck i didnt know untill i went thru few of the pictures that someone would have posted someone eles child still in the car all i can say to the family is that im sorry witch i no that isnt good enough but she is in a better place now even tho she is gone she is still with you all the time an im sure you have plenty of awesome memorys with an of her but to all the rest you jack ass people sending shit like that should stop it shows how stupid an low life you are to do something like that are nothing so they have to find a way to stand out just to let you people no there plenty of ways to stand out get a job an grow up an LEAVE this family the hell alone… (sorry for the few bad words)
you retard she clipped the honda civic while trying to pass it and got out of control and shot across the median into the other lane and into that concrete toll booth thing. She was extremely beautiful before this happend. All i know is that she died at the scene and she was mangled pretty badly I have seen the pictures and there not pretty. All respects t the family.
