May 5 is here. Actually, that is Cinco de Mayo. Why is that important? Because on this day in 1862, the Mexican troops have defeated the French troops in what has proven to be a “decisive victory” if it were to quote Barack Obama’s words. Although Cinco de Mayo is today, President Barack Obama decided to celebrate it a little earlier. Yesterday, the US President has had a meeting with the Mexico Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan in the East Room of the big White House.
Barack Obama tried to put it a joke – he meant to say that this event is Cuatro de Mayo, however, his words were Cinco de Cuatro, and although he tried to tell it several times, he didn’t manage to get it right. Well, Obama motivated the event as being very important and he just wanted to commemorate Cinco de Mayo earlier.
