The Russian billionaire bought a building in the center of London that is valued at 230 million dollars and which he intends to transform in a palace with six levels and even 3 levels beneath the surface.

Roman didn’t manage to purchase the all building in the 1^st place and he bought the apartments one by one. The flats were owned by the Harvey Nichols and Harrods companies.

The building is located in the center of London and has a total surface of 2.790 square meters. The new palace will have eight bedrooms, eight baths, an interior swimming pool and some apartments for other guests.

Abramovici and his lover Dasha Zhukova have together a sun that is one year old.

He is the owner of the soccer club Chelsea London and he is on the 15-th place in a top of the richest persons in the world. According to the British press the new place will show the world again how much money he has and how does he like to live his life.

After Chrysler filed for bankruptcy one month ago, it was the turn of General Motors to file for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 protection. Today at 8 A.M. local time, General Motors declared bankruptcy at the federal court in Manhattan after they reported $81 billion losses in the last four years. GM is the biggest car manufacturer in the US, and the future of the 235,000 employees worldwide now lies in the hands of Judge Robert Gerber.

The GM bankruptcy is the largest industrial insolvency in the history of the USA, and now the 101-year-old carmaker is under court protection. Now there are two from the top three US carmakers under Chapter 11 protection, and President Barack Obama is expected to hold a press conference today to speak of the matter.

General Motors manufactures brands like Cadillac, Chevrolet, Opel, Hummer, and Vauxhall, and although they’ve gone bankrupt, the company will keep on producing cars. GM officials hope that the US Government will give them another hand, and the company will be back, but in a smaller “shape” in the next 60 to 90 days.

Although it’s the largest industrial company to file for bankruptcy, GM is the third largest company to go bankrupt. Lehman Brothers, and WorldCom are the first and second. The former is an investment bank, while the latter is a telecommunications company.

Those familiar with the matter expected General Motors to go bankrupt sooner or latter, but some believed that the carmaker will recover thanks to the $19 billion aid from the Treasury, and $30 billion from the US government.

GM put heir hopes into Judge Robert Gerber’s hands who took care of bankruptcies for companies like Adelphia, and Global Crossing.

Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson’s daughter died on May 26 after suffering a strange and tragic home accident. The 4 year old girl got tangled into a cord connected to a treadmill in Tyson residence in Phoenix, Arizona. The girl was found by her brother who was sent there to look for her.

The police are considering this as being only “a tragic accident” and nobody’s fault. Apparently when the paramedics arrived they found the girl’s mother administrating CPR.

Tyson was in Las Vegas when the tragic incident happened but came as soon as he could and rushed to the hospital. The former heavyweight champion’s life was already a troubled one and here is no doubt that this event made it a lot worse. His father left him when he was two years old and later, when he was 16, his mother died. He got arrested 38 times by the time he was 13. He’s savior was a counselor who discovered Mike’s boxing talent and got him on the right track.

BERLIN (AP) — After traces of cocaine were found in Red Bull Cola energy drink, a bewarege popular in Europe as well as in the States, sold heavily in clubs and discos, some states in Germany have proceeded to interdict the drink. Six German states have so far interdicted retailers to sell Red Bull, shortly after a test found a trace amount of cocaine.

This test was conducted last week, by North Rhine-Westphalia state found 0.4 micrograms per liter in the drink. We all know Germans to be pretty
serious people and not taking such issues lightly. Not surprisingly, on Friday the ban started.

A more in-depth investigation continued, still not relevant enough however to shed light on this issue. Germany’s Federal Institute for Risk Assessment said Monday that the cocaine level was too low to pose a health risk. It promised to produce a more detailed report Wednesday. In the meantime, six German states (out of 16 total) have banned Red Bula cola energy drinks, and this is sure to upset some people but most of all to rise complaints from the company.

Speaking of which, Red Bull said its cola is “harmless and marketable in both the U.S. and Europe.” In 2006, more than 3 billion cans were sold in over 130 countries. Inspired by a Thai drink, this popular energy drink also comes in a no-sugar version (which by the way tastes a lot worse and have the same amount of cabs). Red Bull says the flavor is “mixed berry”. It is commonly used as a mixer with alcoholic drinks such as vodka, and is the base ingredient in a Jägerbomb. However, mixing it with alcohol is not a good idea, it can even damage your health – apart from the day-after headaches some of us are well acquainted with. Too much of it, or just using it to quench thirst (instead of in situations of effort or no sleep), can also lead to adverse effects : nervousness, headache, and tachycardia.

The ban however is, at this point, only for the cola version of Red Bull, which contains natural flavoring and caffeine, and was introduced in 2008 in several countries. Red Bull Simply Cola is not manufactured by Red Bull itself, but in Austria by Rauch Trading AG for Red Bull GmbH.

Red Bull declared that a self-enterprise test found no traces of cocaine whatsoever and that they use the same coca leaf extracts that most cola-like beverages and products around the world use. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens, to be honest I think that even with all the bans and intersections in the world, UE buyers are going to double sales for Red Bull if it proves to have cocaine in it. “Now it really gives you wiiiiiiings”, right ?

Palm’s Pre has been generating plenty of buzz since it was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. Supposed (and some truly hope so) to be the “Iphone assassin” and “Blackberry killer”, the new Palm model has a bit of everything and something unique. Still, will this new gadget from veteran label Palm really storm the market? Too early to say.

Developer of the modern personal digital assistant and an early player in smartphones, Palm, Inc. is a personal digital assistant and smartphone manufacturer headquartered in Sunnyvale, California that is responsible for popular products such as the Zire, Tungsten PDAs, Treo smartphones and the LifeDrive. Previous product lines include the Palm Pilot, Palm III, Palm V and Palm VII. While their older devices run Palm OS Garnet, four editions of the Treo run Windows Mobile. In early 2009 Palm announced a new operating system, Palm webOS, which is expected to replace the original Palm OS Garnet.

The new phone is currently scheduled for release on the 6th June 2009 and will be the first to use Palm’s Linux-based operating system Palm webOS. The Pre functions as a camera phone, a portable media player, a GPS system, and Internet client (with text messaging, email, web browsing, and local Wi-Fi connectivity).

Sprint Nextel is the official carrier in the USA, and along with Bell Mobility (Canada distribution), they surely await the new model with hope in their eyes.

Regarding financial details, the Pre’s $199.99 launch price requires the usual two-year contract. The company will also be offering a wireless charger for an additional $69.99.

What I like best so far is that Palm enhances user-phone accessibility with keeping the classic keyboard in addition to a pretty good looking touch-pad. Let’s face it, even if touching a glass can be cool, actually having tactile feedback won’t be topped by any touchscreen too soon. Speed is also a factor as you can use both thumbs. Sure, a pen could be a solution but that still presumes taking it out of the holder, putting it back and uses both hands.

On February 16, 2009, Adobe announced that it will be developing a version of Adobe Flash Player for webOS. This might do more good through marketing than directly, but it still notable for Palm fans.

We will keep you updated with this phone. This news about the new Palm jewel might rush Apple to introduce it’s new IPhone(s) sooner, because as this stand at this point the Pre is coming sooner by some days.
