The Swine Flu H1N1 Virus Kills Second Person In The US

Swine Flu Protection

Now that the World Health Organization has announced that the swine flu is “cooling down” in Mexico, it appears that is “flaming up” outside the country. A few days ago, it has been reported that a Texas-based woman died of the H1N1 virus, and today a young child died due to the swine flu. The toddler was from Mexico and he was visiting Texas, and now the entire world is more alarmed.

It seems like WHO will raise its alert level to 6 as this is the second death outside Mexico therefore it seems like we are facing a pandemic. WHO announced that the H1N1 strain has spread in more than 21 countries with about 1,500 reported cases. The US has reported 403 confirmed cases, and 700 unconfirmed cases, while Canada has reported 165 confirmed cases.

“Those numbers will go up, we anticipate, and unfortunately there are likely to be more hospitalizations and more deaths,” said U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary, Kathleen Sebeliu.

Let’s all hope that the swine flu will not affect more people and this thing ends right now.
