Kris Allen and Adam Lambert are official the last two contenders for the American Idol title after Danny Gokey got eliminated in this week’s edition. The final will be held next week and should turn out to be quite a battle between the two young artists.

All of the three semi-finalists performed very well and if you want to take a look at their performances just visit Youtube. Kris performed incredible playing Heartelss by Kanye West and was by far the best representation of the evening. Lambert also did a great job with his performance of U2’s One and it was Danny Gokey who didn’t rise to the expectations and was eliminated at the end of the night.

Although judge Simon Cowell said just a couple of days ago that Adam is the main favorite to win this season of American Idol, right now it seems like the title it’s back up for grabs.

Why Adam should win. It is a singing contest and Adam has out sung every other singer in this competition. Why he will win. You have to look at the road traveled by the frontrunners to understand their appeal. It is my belief that beyond the notes and the voice there is energy in the mindfield generated by each individual. It has something to do with why contestants are loved or hated. The quantum is the smallest part of nothing. Physicist will tell you that when you break physical matter down to its smallest particles, what holds them in place is the “no thing” the Zero Point Quantum. There is more “nothing” then something. To learn to manipulate the “nothing” is far more profound then to learn to manipulate physical matter. That profound manipulation occurred when the world heard Adam’s voice. He has moved the quantum. To a lesser degree the others have. Allison with her extreme talent is too young and untarnished by life to sell the angst that she sang about. Danny lived through tragedy and his throaty voice could call on some emotions but he lacked the “it” factor that moves the masses. Kris, you just love him because he is cute and wholesome, and sings in a nice bland style, but his life has not scarred him up enough to make you feel the raw human emotion that Adam can. Where did Adam get that soul, as Jamie Fox would say? If anyone looks at Adam’s graduation video and watches him sing to the audience of his classmates, you can see that he notices some of the kids snickering at him and he just keeps singing. By the end of the song he has won them over and his obvious talent gets applause. I don’t know Adam, I don’t know the details of his life, but he is someone that has experienced the pain of a society that does not embrace differences and through it all he survived, not by becoming bitter, hostile or resentful, but by moving to a higher plane, by displaying the kind of behavior he wanted from others. He took to the stage every week and battled not only the other singers, but social injustice. He is a man that is just as sweet as he is fearless. I believe that there is a powerful message in Adam’s voice and Adam’s energy that the world needs. That is why I will motivate everyone within my reach to vote for him next Tuesday.

Atom is a good singer, but the best singers were Danny Gokey and Alison Iraheta. Of course, they’re gone at this point, so, yes, Atom is a better singer than Kris.

But the sameness of Atom’s performances (haven’t we all heard that scream enough times now to instantly recognize it?) is starting to grate on some people (not me, but I can understand why some people are beginning to tire of him).

The other thing, and this is minor, but even though some people will vote against Kris because he is openly Christian, there are others who will vote against Atom because he is openly homosexual. It isn’t right in either case, but there are still ever so slightly more people who are anti-gay than who are anti-Christian.

Anyway, it’s all moot. Kris is slightly ahead in the votes.

I’m a devout Christian and mother of two music-loving boys, and I must ask: What is wrong with America? America’s vote for Kris Allen, or America’s vote against Adam Lambert, seems to be a contemptuous hate vote against various sectors of society that Adam Lambert appears to stand for. Americans utterly disregarded that American Idol is a singing talent competition open to all, and that it is not a popularity contest for class of persons — neither a political race nor a religious warfare arena. In Season 8, Kris progressively proved that he is a talented musician and an outstanding vocalist; but Adam Lambert consistently proved to be the amazingly innovative artist and the best singer, gifted with a powerful voice. ADAM LAMBERT DESERVED TO WIN. Even Kris knows this within his Christian heart, so much so that when he was unexpectedly handed the undeserved title, he evidently became perplexed and then asserted in open public that “Adam deserves this…” – instinctively repudiating the unbelievable subsuming vote results in righteous adherence to the glaring truth. You could actually count so many seconds before the bewildered Kris finally acquiesced to receive the undeserved crown, but only after Adam graciously approached to place his arm around his room mate’s shoulder in encouragement. ADAM LAMBERT IS THE TRUE WINNER. In addition, I should also ask: What is wrong with this American Idol TV show, anyway?
