Police reports said that Carradine’s body was discovered by a maid cleaning, he was most probably already dead. She entered the room at the Park Nai Lert Hotel (5 star class of course) at 10 am. He was supposed to begin acting duties for a new film entitles Stretch. Ironically, the cord he used didn’t really stretch… If you pardon my dark humour. There are no additional details to be found on the Stretch movie-to-be, not about what it is about nor whether if will be finished or not. When a big actor such as David Carradine passes away movies get cancelled some times…

Carradine was born in Hollywood, California, the son of Ardanelle Abigail (née McCool) and noted American actor John Carradine. He was the brother of Bruce Carradine and half-brother of Keith and Robert Carradine. Close-by people of the actor mention that he disliked his birth name (John Arthur) so he changed it to a more pleasant sounding David at the early start of his career in the business. Interesting enough, Carradine had Irish, English, Scottish, Welsh, German, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian and Cherokee ancestry.

Carradine was married five times and had two daughters, Calista Miranda and Kansas. Each of his first four marriages ended in divorce. His last marriage, with Annie, was ended by his premature death.

More rather curious details of his death float around the Web. A local newspaper (no one can guarantee for it’s standards however) called The Nation, reports that she was found half-naked with the cord around his genitals as well as his neck. He had been due to join his film crew for dinner on Wednesday night, but never showed up for the meal. The rest of the movie team missed his presence and wondered on the reasons of his absence but made not attempt to call for him or inquire -  or so it seems at the time being.
