Coldplay is a very popular band from the United Kingdom and they are preparing for a tour in North America. Before that, the band is offering a live CD for fans all over the world for financial reasons. Due to Internet piracy, the CD sales have dropped therefore bands must consider other ways to market their music. Is is not good to sell physical records therefore Coldplay’s live CD will be available for download for free at their official website.
The live CD is called LeftRightLeftRightLeft, and the Coldplay members say that “this album is a thank-you to our fans — the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.”
2008 was a successful year for Coldplay as their album called Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends was the best selling pop album of the year.
Coldplay’s North American tour will begin on May 15.
