She was arrested (we lost count on how many times it happened) Saturday night in Las Vegas because of the suspicion of cocaine possession.

The event occurred while she was driving a black Cadillac Escalade. She was pulled over in front of Wynn Hotel from Las Vegas at about 11:30. When the police approached they could sense the smell of marijuana coming from the SUV.

This happens not long after Paris was accused of smoking marijuana at the World Cup from Africa. At that time she escaped prosecution because her publicist told the media that it was all a “a complete misunderstanding,”.

For about four hours the Bank of America Corp site was down but now it is up and running.

The motive seems to be a “temporary system” issue Tara Burkle declared. Also she declared that further investigation is in progress to see the source of the problem and that they will make adjustments that this kind of thing never happen.

It all started at 1:25 p.m and lasted until 5:15 p.m.. It seams that there are still people that can’t access their accounts but this is happening because of the amount of users that are trying to connect to the website. The same spokesman said the ATMs were not affected in any kind and that the customers can use them with confidence.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has just invented a device that can absorb very efficient and with low cost the petrol that is floating into seas.

The Seaswarm robot is composed from a long band that has 5 m in length and 2 m in width covered with a network of nano-filaments that are capable to absorb 20 times its one weight of petrol and at the same time no water molecule. After the job is done the material can be heated and the oil will fell. So the robot can be used again.

The MIT engineers are thinking of an army of such robots that can coordinate themsefls with wireless technology and GPS.

It is estimated tat with 5000 robots the Golf of Mexico could be cleaned up in about one month from the oil disaster that is happening these days.

A massive festival is held in Spain every last Wednesday of August. The location is Buñol at 40 KM west of Valencia. We are speaking about La Tomatina. No less then 100 tones of tomatoes are used every year in this frenzy festival. When the 1^st rocket is launched into the air the battle begins. Everyone on the streets will take a tomato and throw it at each other.

It appears that the 1^st tomato attack was in 1945. No one knows the real reason why. Some people say that that year town people attacked the councilmen regarding some issues. . Other people say that it 1^st begun as an anti-Franco protest. The simplest of all theories is that it was started by some friends and a food fight. Who knows?

In 1952 the festival was publicly announced and was held almost every year. Late in the 70s it was stopped for a brief period of time but was started again shortly.

The festival is now held in honor of the town’s patron saint, St Louis Bertrand, and the Mare de Deu dels Desemparats (Mother of God of the Defenceless).

Yet another car recall from Toyota happened today. This time it involves 1 million cars in the US. The main reason seams faulty engine control systems. If you remember last month another 700,000 cars were brought back to the constructor. We are talking at the moment of about 10 million in the past year. Things like sticking accelerator pedals, bad steering and even some engine problems are giving Toyota some bad headache.

This time the engine was the car part that failed at tests. Some officials declared that “in limited instances, the engine could stop while the vehicle is being driven”. Another problem is that sometimes the engine will not star from the 1^st try.

“This recall is an example of our commitment to standing by our products and being responsive to our customers,” said Steve St Angelo, Toyota’s chief quality officer for North America.

“Our goal is to help ensure that Toyota drivers are completely confident in the safety and reliability of their vehicles.”

Toyota was fined $16 million so by the US authorities. With this one the number now reached 14 and we are talking only about 2010.

This won’t be the 1^st time that Miss Universe will bring controversies and scandal. USA’s  Rima Fakih was considered one of the favorites but she didn’t manage to reach the semi final round. There are many questions from the public to the judges of the contest and the main one will be: WHY?

One of the motive for such a poor qualification could be her declaration regarding planning of a mosque near Ground Zero. We hope this wasn’t the motive because free opinion is not a degree in this contest. Also the religion could be a little reason to concern. As we all know she is muslin and the bikini contest made some bad attention from her religion practitioners.

No more than 228 million eggs appear to be infested with Salmonella. The eggs are dated between May 16 and Aug. 13 in these states: Colorado, California and Minnesota. Some of the symptoms of salmonella are fever, diarrhea and cramps .
